The Foundation

The Adaptive Sports Foundation (ASF) was established in 1995 by Peter M. Treacy, a disabled skier from Knowlton, Quebec. Following an accident that left him an amputee, Peter’s dream was to start a ski school for children and adults with physical disabilities. His mission was clear: to establish, operate and maintain educational programs that encourage individuals with physical disabilities to discover new abilities through winter and summer sports.

Our Mission

Our mission is to offer educational sports programs to individuals with physical disabilities in order to encourage them to develop new skills through outdoor sports. We are committed to helping individuals develop self-confidence, personal motivation and greater physical strength, all within the framework of an activity they can enjoy with their family and friends.

Our Vision

The Adaptive Sports Foundation is a leader in teaching adaptive sports. The passion and dedication of our volunteers and students is the basis for this success. Our objective is to expand our programs and offer more adaptive outdoor sports opportunities.

Our Strenghts

At the Adaptive Sports Foundation we believe everyone is entitled to enjoy the benefits of sports. In this regard, all our outdoor sports programs take place under the supervision of experienced volunteers who receive training to enable them to effectively respond to the specific needs of each participant. Whether they are a beginner or more advanced, every participant receives training adapted to their needs.
