About us
Discover our mission, our history, and our commitment to enriching the lives of individuals living with disabilities.

The Foundation
The Adaptive Sports Foundation (ASF) was founded in 1995 by Mr. Peter M. Treacy, a one-legged skier from Knowlton, Quebec. Following an accident, Mr. Treacy, an amputee, dreamed of creating a ski school for children and adults living with physical disabilities. His mission was clear: to develop, organize, and establish educational sports programs that allow individuals with disabilities to discover new opportunities through winter and summer sports.
Our strengths
At the Adaptive Sports Foundation, we believe that everyone deserves to enjoy the benefits of sports. That’s why our adapted outdoor sports programs are supervised by experienced volunteers. Whether for beginners or more advanced athletes, our students benefit from personalized instruction tailored to their needs. All our volunteers receive specialized training to adequately meet the specific needs of each individual.

Our mission
Our mission is to offer educational sports programs to individuals living with physical disabilities, encouraging them to develop new skills through outdoor sports. Additionally, sports help improve their self-esteem, motivation, and physical abilities while participating in activities they can share with their family and friends.

The Adaptive Sports Foundation is a leader in the field of adapted sports education. The passion and dedication of our volunteers and students are the pillars of this success. Our goal is to expand our reach to touch even more people and offer new sports opportunities.
